Sunday in Pokhara, Nepal, a Yeti Airlines ATR 72 aircraft crashed. Sunday morning, the aircraft reportedly flew from Kathmandu to Pokhara and crashed while landing at the Pokhara airport, according to first reports. 68 passengers and four crew members were on board.
At least 32 people were found dead when a Nepalese passenger plane carrying 72 people, including 10 foreigners, crashed into a river canyon on Sunday while attempting to land at the Pokhara airport, according to media sources. Eight remains have been retrieved.
According to Tek Bahadur KC, the Kaski district’s chief district officer, the aircraft crashed into the Seti river valley. The Himalayan Times newspaper quotes him as adding that rescue operations are now underway. Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ convened an emergency meeting of the Council of Ministers in response to the accident.
The Yeti Airlines ATR-72 9N-ANC took off from Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu at 10:33 a.m., according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN). Pokhara is an important tourist attraction in the Himalayan country.

The aeroplane that crashed on the runway at the Pokhara airport in Nepal had 68 passengers on board, including 53 Nepalis, 5 Indians, 4 Russians, 1 Irishman, 2 Koreans, an Argentinian, and a Frenchman, according to the airport management.
Additionally, two infants were on board.

According to a Nepal Airport official, there were five Indians, four Russians, one Irishman, and two South Koreans on board the wrecked Yeti Airlines flight.
